Eat more fruits and veggies

You know you should, but you don’t. If you want to have a larger number of healthy, low cholesterol fruits and vegetables, take a look at this list (see page 2). select foods that are high in antioxidants and fiber. Eat several servings of these foods each day. It is also important to eat these foods raw. Cooking can eliminate many of the nutrients and enzymes that are beneficial.

Drink more water

Get a glass of water every other hour. If you are eating 5-6 small meals per day, this will help you get the fiber and vitamins you need.

You need to stay off the junk food isles. Stick to the outer walls. This area is your target for convenience foods. (gas stations, etc)

Start preparing your own meals. Many of us preparing our own lunches, but eating out is more convenient. If you are one of those people who only has time for a quick sandwich, don’t make a bad choice there. Ask for tomato, lettuce and other vegetables. Stay away from the processed foods, frozen meals, etc. The same thing goes for lunch buffets. Choose theadishads instead of coleslaw or potato salad. To keep time, make half your dinner and eat the other half again the next day.

Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grain

Whole grains, fruits and vegetables are foods that you can eat a lot more of. You can start life the right way by eating them at every meal. They are extremely high in nutrients.

Not only will you be healthier, but you will have more energy. Some important sources of whole grains include brown rice, pasta, bagels, corn, barley, popcorn and wheat germ.

Some sources of vegetables include beans, spinach, broccoli, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, beets, onions, garlic, yams, sweet potatoes, and squash.

These foods are also rich in fiber which is needed to have a healthy digestive system. Many people do not have time to chew their food thoroughly enough to extract the nutritional value.

You also need time to get the vitamins and minerals you need in other ways than through your digestive system. You should get plenty of exercise by walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, playing tennis or soccer, and rollerblading.
