Board Adopts RUDG With Unanimous Vote

After two years of comprehensive planning and community participation at its June 10, 2016 meeting, the Board unanimously adopted the Regional Urban Design Guidelines (“RUDG”). This significant action was the culmination of a comprehensive Base Reuse Plan (“BRP”) policy development process led by the Board-appointed RUDG Task Force and FORA staff, with the support from a nationally recognized inter-disciplinary consulting team.

Following unanimous RUDG Task Force recommendation at the June 1 meeting,  FORA staff is pleased to include the Final Draft RUDG for Board consideration at the June 10, 2016 meeting.

RUDG Task Force

The May 10 meeting of the RUDG Task Force focused on reviewing the public review draft RUDG.

Special Board Workshop

The special meeting/workshop on March 7 was intended to bring the Board and community up to date with the current draft RUDG content and new interactive website organization, structure and use. In addition, Staff highlighted policy language refinements developed since the last workshop, and summarized remaining steps in development of a final RUDG policy for Board adoption.
